Ezekiel Elliott’s Latest Comments Have Cowboys Fans Emotional
Ezekiel Elliott's return to Dallas in Week 4 to face the Cowboys is, rightfully, the biggest story heading into the game. The now-New England Patriots running back has made it clear he's excited to come back to AT&T Stadium, especially since he'll be suiting up in front of Cowboys Nation again.
Elliott's latest comments, however, have made fans even more emotional ahead of Week 4.
Elliott admitted it will be a bit "weird" to be on the opposing side of a game at Jerry World. But, he thinks it'll be "a good experience" because he's "seeing the fans again."
If that doesn't pull on your heartstrings enough, the three-time Pro Bowler added, "Dallas definitely is home to me."
Elliott has handled his split from the Cowboys with the utmost class. Some who gave the best years of their career to one team but were ultimately released would hold a grudge over the situation. Instead, he's shown not but appreciation for Dallas while just getting started on his new chapter in New England.
The veteran RB also spoke about the first converstaions he had with owner Jerry Jones following his release. He revealed there were "minimum" talks between the two sides, but that doesn't seem to be influencing his feelings toward the franchise at all. Instead, he just chalked it up to the business that is the NFL.
Sunday is shaping up to be an emotional day for everyone who follows the Cowboys. Those in the stadium will even be on hand to see Dallas honor its former running back before taking on the Patriots.
