It has been an eventful offseason for the Dallas Cowboys, to say the least. Since the 2023 season ended in January, there has been a lot of unnecessary noise and drama that has surrounded the organization.

Dallas took a major step forward this week when they finally decided to pay CeeDee Lamb and get him into the building.

Now that Aug. 27 is roster cutdown day around the NFL, a bunch of players are hitting the open market. A former Cowboy was released on Tuesday, opening the door for a reunion.

NFL News: Noah Brown Was Released by Houston Texans

Per Jordan Schultz, the Houston Texans released wide receiver Noah Brown. The Texans have a loaded wide receiver room that has Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins, and Tank Dell to name a few.

Brown joined the Texans last offseason but spent the first five years of his career in Dallas. The Cowboys know that Lamb is the bonafide No. 1 WR in the fold, though adding more playmakers never hurts.

Brown runs good routes, has strong hands, and fights through contact at the catch point. Last season, the 28-year-old finished with a career-high 567 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Adding someone like this to the mix could help elevate the Cowboys' offense. During his five seasons with Dallas, the Ohio State product tallied 82 catches (140 targets) for 980 yards and three scores.

Brown has already built a rapport with Dak Prescott so it wouldn't take much to get him back into the fold.

Outside of Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert are the other two receivers who are locks to get consistent reps. So the opportunity to contribute in 2024 may be available in Dallas if both sides are open to it.
