Dallas Cowboys fans are still riding the high that came from last week's beatdown over the New York Giants. There are plenty of reasons to feel confident after that victory, however, there's always room for improvement.

After all, 16 games remain in the regular season and the Cowboys haven't even shown their full potential. Last week's victory wasn't flawless by any means, leaving us with some questions that still need to be answered against the New York Jets this weekend.

With that in mind, here are three burning questions that Dallas must answer in Week 2.

3 Burning Cowboys Questions Week 2

1. Is the Defense That Elite?

The Cowboys' defensive dominance over the Giants was one of the most talked-about stories after Week 1. After all, it's not every day that you see a 40-0 shutout in the NFL.

Dallas' defense was all over the place, holding New York to an average of 2.6 yards on 65 total plays. The Cowboys sacked Giants QB Daniel Jones seven times, even forcing him to throw two interceptions. One of those INTs saw DaRon Bland return the ball 22 yards for a pick-six while the other saw Stephon Gilmore come down with an interception in his Cowboys debut.

While some are making excuses for the Giants due to poor weather, the fact is that the Cowboys had to deal with the same conditions. However, they need to come up with another strong defensive showing to shut up the doubters by proving they're legit.

Fortunately, Dallas has the perfect opportunity to prove that the defense is elite in Week 2. With the Jets losing Aaron Rodgers to a season-ending Achilles tear, Zach Wilson is back under center.

Yeah, the same Wilson who's thrown 19 INTs while being sacked 69 times in 23 games (22 starts) since 2021.

If the Cowboys don't absolutely manhandle New York's offense this weekend, I'm going to be left with many concerns.
